Lennart Grut - Senior Partner

Lennart has a wealth of experience working and negotiating with international clients on projects of every size and type.

 

Lennart Grut is the Partner principally in charge of managing the practice’s key international projects. Lennart has worked at RSHP for three decades and his role includes organising and managing multidisciplinary teams in multilingual environments to ensure delivery of projects. Working within a wide variety of cost and time constraints, he is responsible for ensuring the exacting quality standards set by the practice are met.

He has particular expertise in the planning and design of major airport projects and has been director in charge of Terminal 5, Heathrow Airport, London and Terminal 4, Barajas Airport, Madrid, which won the Stirling Prize in 2006. Current transport projects include major extensions to Melbourne Metro and an airport in Taipei.

He has been involved in setting up the practice’s new work in Mexico, Lebanon, China and South America. Projects include the new Headquarters for BBVA in Mexico City and Atrio, two new mixed-use towers in Bogota that aim to be a catalyst for regenerating the old CBD Centro Internacional area.

There are also projects in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing in China as well as Taipei and Singapore. Lennart also plays a principle role in RSHP’s modular housing projects in the UK, including PLACE / Ladywell in London.

In addition, Lennart oversees the IT department ensuring it remains at the forefront of architectural innovation and delivery.
