Graham Stirk - Senior Director

Graham Stirk is an architect and senior director at RSHP. His intellectually rigorous approach to the analysis and interpretation of a client brief and site informs the process and form of architecture to create functional, flexible, and elegant buildings and spaces.

He has been involved in the design of many prestigious UK and worldwide projects, often on complex sites. He has brought innovative, rational, and clear design leadership to many of the practice’s high-profile projects, including: Lloyd’s Register of Shipping and 88 Wood Street, both office buildings in the City of London; Bodegas Protos, a winery in Peñafiel, Spain; NEO Bankside, residential pavilions next to Tate Modern; The World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre at The British Museum, The Macallan Distillery in Speyside, Scotland and Aisle Est, Geneva Airport.

All of which were shortlisted for The Stirling Prize in 2000, 2002, 2009, 2015, 2017 and 2019, respectively. 

Graham also led the design for The Leadenhall Building in the City of London, where RSHP has its design studio on Level 14; One Hyde Park - a luxury residential development in Knightsbridge; Burlington Gate in Mayfair, which comprises apartments and art galleries; two riverside residential schemes: Riverlight in Battersea, London and Merano in Vauxhall, London and Terminal 1, Lyon-Saint Exupery Airport .

He is currently leading the design of an extension to the British Library, and two schemes redeveloping listed gasholders into residential apartments: one in Bethnal Green and the other in Bromley-by-Bow, east London.
