Two RSHP projects shortlisted for World Architecture Festival (WAF) Awards

We are proud to share that two recently completed RSHP projects have been shortlisted for the World Architecture Festival Awards:
Central China International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Phase 2)
Shortlisted in the Completed Buildings: Display Category, the project comprises the Phase 2 Convention Centre (site area of 616,459.48 m2) alongside a Conference Centre and hotel (site area of 81,107.51 m2).
The total site area measures 697,566 m², with the development connected via an impressive 1.7km elevated floor plane or central spine.
The monumental scheme is strategically located within the Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone (ZAEZ) and was delivered to a demanding programme to host the prestigious 3rd China National Skill Competition.
The design emphases modularity, connectivity and intuitive movement to create a series of distinctive buildings that are visible from both land and air.
Metro Tunnel Project
Melbourne’s five new underground stations have been shortlisted within the Completed Buildings: Transport Category.
The Metro Tunnel Project is Victoria’s most significant rail transformation in forty years, redefining Melbourne’s civic geography.
The project is a transformative, city-shaping infrastructure initiative, comprising twin nine-kilometre rail tunnels beneath Melbourne’s CBD and five new underground stations: Arden, Parkville, State Library, Town Hall, and Anzac.
Designs for the stations are the result of a collaboration between leading international architecture design practices Hassell WW+P, and RSHP.
