RSHP architects return as NLA Expert Panellists

02 February 2024

RSHP is delighted to announce that Lorna Edwards, associate partner, and Soki So, senior associate, will continue their roles as NLA Expert Panellists for 2024.

Soki will be joining the NLA Expert Panel on Work, following a year on the Wellbeing panel. He will join a new team of experts, who will discuss how adaptive reuse could be applied to existing office buildings and the benefits of mixed, hybrid use developments for connecting workspaces with local communities and economies.

Lorna will continue her role on the NLA Expert Education Panel, sharing thought-leadership on educational buildings, new learning patterns and how to create healthy and sustainable spaces that encourage successful learning environments and wellbeing.

Last year, through their expert panel roles Lorna and Soki engaged with the GLA's Planning for London Programme, offering insights into the New London Agenda 2024 and contributing to a review of the London Plan.

Lorna Edwards: “I’m thrilled to be a part of NLA’s Education Expert Panel once again and to delve deeper into important topics and challenges such as the impacts of cuts to the creative curriculum, re-use and retrofit. The opportunity to contribute to the New London Agenda which has a focus on delivering for future generations has been both rewarding and inspiring.”

Soki So:    “Last year, I had such a rewarding experience as a Wellbeing NLA Expert, playing a role in contributing to the White Paper and New London Agenda framework. It was so interesting exploring possible policies and direction for London and engaging with the wealth of knowledge and experience within the panel. I’m delighted to be invited back this year to the NLA Expert Panel for Work; an exciting area that has significantly evolved with more focus on health and social wellbeing combined with new modes of working and technologies.”
