RSHP reveals design for mixed-use scheme in Dubai Peninsula

RSHP is delighted to share the latest design for a high-end mixed-use scheme located within the Dubai Peninsula masterplan for H&H. 

Located on reclaimed land around a new marina at the confluence of the Dubai Canal and the Arabian Gulf, the development will provide 182 premium residential apartments (66,550 sqm), a new five-star hotel (26,547 sqm) with 182 keys and 59 serviced apartments (25,292 sqm) as well as 7,133 sqm of retail and F&B space, a marina of 32 berths, and set a new benchmark for waterfront design.

The scheme comprises six linked ‘pavilion’ buildings, which provide a mix of serviced apartments, branded residences, and a 5-star hotel, bookended by two pairs of elegant residential towers which frame the overall composition of the development.

The three hotel pavilions are connected via a series of glazed, elevated bridge links, which allow for efficient servicing of all guest rooms and suites. At roof level, the amenities will include a restaurant, sky bar with terrace, and infinity pool, with striking views of Jumeirah Beach and the Dubai skyline.

The lower-rise pavilions sit above a highly activated ground floor with diverse upscale dining destinations, and terraces overlooking the marina and yacht club.

At the lower promenade level, residents and guests have access to a collection of high-end waterfront retail boutiques offering an exclusive shopping experience away from the crowds of the city.

The central drop-off area leads hotel guests and serviced apartment residents into their respective lobbies at the heart of the scheme, whilst the lobby of the residences is served by a separate drop-off at the other end of the building.

The residential towers are crowned by four spectacular triplex residential penthouses with generous landscaped terraces and private pools, their unique perched form creating a distinctive silhouette at the gateway to this newly developed peninsula.

Located in the prestigious district of Jumeirah, the Dubai Peninsula project is designed to seamlessly integrate with the city’s cosmopolitan character while embracing sustainable urban planning principles. The siting and orientation of the development respond directly to the solar radiation modelling of the local climate in Dubai.

The lower pavilions are arranged closely together to provide self-shading, with vertical screens helping to mitigate the solar gain of low-level sun, while horizontal louvres across balconies provide shading from high-level sun. 

The arrangement of the building volumes creates a shaded, comfortable waterfront public realm environment for residents, hotel guests and visitors.
