Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP) has gained planning permission for a new building, named N22, at International Quarter London

Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP) has gained planning permission for a new building, named N22, at International Quarter London. The building will be the first to be developed on the north site within RSHP’s wider masterplan. Several of RSHP’s buildings on the south site have almost finished construction and have been let to tenants including TfL and the Financial Conduct Authority.

International Quarter London is a joint venture between Lend Lease and London Continental Railways to create a thriving business quarter at the heart of Stratford. It will provide new homes and community facilities, 4,000,000sq ft of work space along with retail space and a hotel.

The commercial space is spread across two sites, North and South, and designed around the core values of promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace. RSHP has created a masterplan for both sites, including a design framework that enables buildings of different sizes and configurations to be created using the same basic components. This ‘kit-of-parts’ approach provides overall design coherence whilst allowing scope for the development of individual building identities as well as flexibility to adapt to specific tenant requirements.
