RSHP team abseil the Leadenhall Building for Maggie's

18 June 2023

Congratulations to the courageous Tracy Meller, Erica Reeve, and Annie Miller who abseiled 802 feet down RSHP’s 50-storey Leadenhall Building in the City of London. This important mission was    to raise funds for Maggie's Centre at The Royal Marsden.

With zero abseiling experience, we watched in awe as they descended the building’s peak - even taking a moment to wave to the RSHP team waiting on our studio floor located on level 14 of the building. So far, this amazing RSHP trio have raised almost 7k for Maggie’s at the Royal Marsden. Thank you to all who supported the team with your generous donations.

“ With so many friends and colleagues having been impacted by cancer in recent years, Maggie’s have been transformative in supporting both patients and their families through long periods of treatment, so we are doing this to raise money for their centre at The Royal Marsden, Sutton, where Steve Reeve is currently being treated ”
Tracy

“ Maggie’s at Royal Marsdenhas been such a godsend for me and my family. EVERY hospital needs a Maggie’s ” Erica

“ I’m doing it for Maggie’s and remembering my lovely Mum. Though I’m petrified about going over the top, it’s worth it to imagine her laughing at the thought of it ” Ann

Every year, over 300,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK, facing tough questions, exhausting treatment and difficult emotions. These challenges affect not only those with cancer, but their family and friends, too.

Maggie’s is there for anyone and everyone affected by cancer, offering a programme of support that has been shown to strengthen physical and emotional wellbeing

Maggie's is    a charity very close to our hearts at RSHP. We had the privilege to work with Laura Lee, Maggie’s Chief Executive, and her dedicated team when we designed      Maggie’s West London, which won the Stirling Prize in 2009.
